We started out with the annual trip to the punkin patch with Gma and the Van Cott cousins. This year we wanted to change it up a bit and include a corn maze. We ended up at Wheeler Farm and they tricked us. It was a sad little hay maze that was way under their skill level but the kids still had fun. Plus we got to pick a punkin, see the animals and have a wagon ride. It was a super fun day!
The kids just giggled when this little piggy licked their fingers.
Fun little wagon ride. Probably would have been a little cooler at night so you could see the lights. It's probably fun at Christmas too.
Cute faces behind some spooky spider webs.
They had some cool old tractors. This would be a cool spot for a fancy schmancy photo shoot.
Action shot in the maze. They breezed right through it but had fun all the same.
My handsome little son is not into smiling for pics lately. It looks like it hurts rather than being a happy thing. Silly billy. And sadly I didn't get a good pic of all the cousins together. I hope my sis-in-law got one so I can steal borrow a copy.
Our next fun event was the Pumpkin Party at Gma Laurie's and Gpa Art's. We carve our pumpkins, eat some yummy chili and donuts, and visit with each other. It's always a fun party!
My darling daughter with a tuff face pulling punkin guts out. You can see that her cousin next to her is not a fan of this part. Luckily K and I pitched in and cleaned her guts out too.
And this guy is all about stabbing his punkin. He doesn't even really need a face carved, he just wants to be able to hold the knife. (Don't worry, they are the kid safe kind)
The final results. I had a tough carving year. Both the bat and the owl broke. (Yes that's an owl, shut up!) But the kids were happy and they looked really cool once we got them home and added candles.
And finally Halloween arrived and the trick or treating could begin.
My super cute kids were Hiccup and Astrid from the movie How to Train Your Dragon. (if you haven't seen the movie you must, it's super cute) Personally I think they were the cutest trick-or-treaters EVER but that's just coming from their biased mother.
And this year it worked out that we got to trick-or-treat with the cousins. The night was a little cold and rainy but the kids had an absolute blast! The Hubs walked with us and he wanted to see who could yell "Trick-or-Treat" the loudest at each door. I am confident that this group of kids were the loudest ones in the neighborhood. He also told them to howl after they yelled and my son took that very seriously. He howled his little heart out and then would ask his Dad if he was the best howler. He asked after EVERY house, no joke, it was hilarious!!
Such a fun time of year!! Hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween too!!!

Looks like you guys had so much fun! Kodie and Coop look adorable. I haven't seen the movie so I guess I'd better check it out. Awesome job on the costumes anyway! Hope you and your fam get feeling better soon!
