Cake Truffles

My first post was about treats and now here I am again with more treats. I think there will be more food in winter and more of the outside stuff once it is warm. Makes sense don't ya think?

Thank you for all your suggestions on what to call my little treats. I think I liked cake truffles the best so we'll go with that. We'll see if all of us can call them that. We can decide if it rolls off our tongues okay.

Today J was playing "Joe Mechanic" in his parents garage. (Weird that we would have a broken vehicle I know) So when I got off work I wandered over there to hang out too. My fabulous mother in law had gotten some ingredients to try carrot cake truffles. So that's what we did. These were a little more tricky than their chocolate friends. The cake is SO moist that it was a little harder to get them to hold the ball shape. So in the picture they don't look as polished as the chocolate ones did but hopefully my oh so fancy drizzling job on top helps hide that. The taste however was supreme! When the super awesome father in law tasted one he raved! He thinks I should be in business selling them. I just love how this super simple treat gets such fantastic results. Try them! I'm telling you, at your next gathering you will be a SUPERSTAR!!

Please forgive my not so professional photography. I only have a point-and-shoot camera. I'm gonna bust out the instructions to figure out the flash and we'll see if I get better results that way. I'd love to have a fancy digital-SLR, or whatever they are called, but the jerk who was supposed to deliver my money tree hasn't showed up yet. If you see him, let him know I'm looking for him and I'm dang good with a bow!
