My original plan was to be at home, make valentine shaped sugar cookies and make a red, white and pink dinner in honor of this day of love. Well Daddy decided we were headed to the ice because he had been up there just yesterday and caught a ton of fish. My children will never pass up the chance to ice fish if given the option so we loaded up and headed out the door.
I am always only so-so about going ice fishing but once we get there I always have a GREAT time. Today was no exception. It was absolutely beautiful! The sun was shining, the birds were singing and the fish were biting. And the kids had such a great time.
When we got home we cooked the fish for dinner so the trout still went along with the "pink" part of my dinner theme. I made the most amazing molten chocolate cakes for dessert. Of course I forgot to take a pic! Oh well, guess I'll have to make them again.

ReplyDeleteWhile your kids are super cute there eh, I'm disappointed in the lack of molten cake pictures....tisk tisk tisk..... oh well.....guess you will just have to make them for me sometime!!! I do work right next to your home after all, just bring them on by sometime!
