Wednesday Afternoons

After I tuck my darling daughter into bed each night as soon as I reach the door, WITHOUT FAIL, she asks me "What are we going to do tomorrow?" I love Tuesday nights because I get to say "Tomorrow is gymnastics day!" This is usually followed by a very happy "Yay!!"

She loves gymnastics. She begged to be signed back up and is enjoying every minute of it. She is improving with each class and it is so fun to watch her balance and strength improve. She loves each event they work on. My fav is to watch her on the un-even bars. This is where I think her strength has improved the most.

This time I signed her little brother up with her. I think I did this more for my sanity than anything. It was getting awfully hard to make him stay by me for that longest hour ever. However, he does not participate like I think he should so perhaps his gymnastics days are over. Once again, the hubs is right, he said "I think he might be too little for this kind of organized sport." No I said, he will love it. And I think he does really enjoy that time but I worry his running around and not staying in line with his class is disruptive and annoying to his coaches. What ya gonna do, he's only 3!

So anyway, here are some pics of our wonderful Wednesday Afternoons at the Rec Center.

  1. So fun! I can totally see her as a gymnast! I'll bet C is loving it too! Thanks for adding my button. Crazy to see it on someone's blog (other than mine)!

  3. Gymnasticking seems like the perfect sport for that cute little girl! I'm glad she enjoys it sooOOOoo much! I think you should let the "little brother" (i chuckled when i read it that way....hehehe) continue in it. If you don't let him be involved in something for long enough to see if he can intrinsically enjoy it, then you will never know. And yup, i just used intrinsically. You never know at what point he will calm down and actually start paying attention to the coaches, and once that happens maybe, just maybe, he'll start listening to his mother too! Wouldn't that be a great day??? Gotta love 3 year olds....nah, keep it general....teeHEE

(hope you got that last part)

  4. I LOOOOVEd gymnastics the ONE time I got to be in it, and to this day resent Amber and Mandy for getting to do all they wanted so I couldn't. HAHA! How immature does that sound? My point is 20 points for you as a Mommy. If you are able to let your kids do what they want regardless of time and finances, they will never feel cheated when they are older. And if they do, send them my way, I will teach them lessons about being the youngest kid from two previously married parents, and most of the money going towards child support and all that other silly stuff-they've got it good.
