I'm not in to all that comic book hero junk so I'm gonna post about real life super hero's.
My favorite super hero is dun da dun!!!! The Super Mom!! Mom, Mother, Mommy, Mama, whatever you are called, you are a super hero!
All the mom's that are a part of my life are hero's to me. The women who are mothers to me and the sisters, cousins, and friends who are mothers are all super hero's. Being a mom is the hardest job in the whole wide universe! (sorry Dads, your job is hard too but being a mom is infinitely harder) Every day I am amazed at all that goes into the title of Mom. All these little things you just don't even know that will come up when you take on the role of Mom. This whole range of emotions that you never even knew you had inside you are experienced beginning the moment you hold that little one. And as they grow, even more emotions and situations arise that again, you never even considered.
Mom's have such an important job, to raise these little kids and turn them into responsible, productive, contributing members of society. We want so much for our kids and it consumes our everyday.
But then along that path there are the little things that make such a huge difference. Mom's make an owie better, bake cookies, drive you to your various activities, cheer from the sidelines, help with homework, make sure you eat well, get enough rest, teach you oh so many things, help when your friends are meaners, encourage you, build you up, sometimes knock you back down if you need it, tuck you in bed at night, and read you stories. And all the things a Mom does for you as you move into adulthood are so much different. I can't even go into all the things my own Mom and my Mother-in-Law have done for me. Too many tears to think about. (good tears, remember my previous post)
I feel like I'm rambling and I can't get this into the right words. Mom's are the best! They are truly special people! No one can take the place of your "Mom".
They are the REAL super hero's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, wait a minute.....you can't say that you are your own superhero! I'm pretty sure thats not how it was meant......oh well.....i guess i'll accept your premise... Mom's are pretty awesome! The reason they love us so much is they literally grew us inside of them, they have a special connection that few others will have with their child. Great post A, i'm proud of you! good job.
