Bowhunt 2010

This year has been amazing!! Different but amazing! We started out on the "West Side" of our mountain because J had an antelope tag. We camped with some friends and Gpa and Gma W. Gpa unfortunately had some business that cut his hunt short and they were only able to stay for the weekend. But luckily the Hubs was successful! Check out his goat! (goat is a nickname for antelope, they call them speed goats too)



After that tag was filled we moved to the "East Side" of the mountain. I felt like I hadn't camped over there in ages. It was like driving back home after being away for too long. We were all giddy. Sadly we didn't have any luck while over there. And the kids and I headed back early as school started on the Thursday of that week (why it started on a Thur instead of just waiting till Monday I'll never know).

And then after a week of being home and working and doing that school stuff we headed back down over Labor Day weekend. This weekend is one I will never forget. For quite sometime my family has been saying they would like to come down and camp with us. Well this year it actually happened!! We finally put it together. My Dad and My Grandparents met us on the mountain. It was so fun to have them all to myself. I love them all so much. It was priceless to hang out with my Dad and visit with my Grandparents without a big crowd. My kids just loved having them with us too.
We ate, we talked, we played Old Maid, we visited the Anasazi State Park Museum, we went for a little hike, and they even hunted with us one night. I just can't even describe to you how special it was to me. Thanks for coming with us. Thanks for making that long drive. It meant the world to me!

Sorry if that was a little picture overload but I just couldn't help it. It was a special year. I haven't filled a tag yet but I still have time for that. For now I'll just keep this season "deer" to my heart!
