It's T-Ball Season

My handsome son has been asking and asking if he can play a sport. I wanted to be sure he was ready and/or serious about it as our attempt at gymnastics did not go well. I got a flier in the mail about T-Ball and thought this might be just the ticket! It's just a small league, through the Rec Center and it's only one month of fall ball. In passing I asked J if he thought he might want to coach and he shrugged and said "sure". Well that was all I needed to hear. I ran, I mean slowly stopped by, the Rec Center and signed them up. C to play and J to coach, perfect!!

Games are Tue and Thur nites and it has been an absolute blast! The boys are so cute in their over sized hats and their Bee's T-shirts. It is totally low pressure, everyone gets to hit and run bases. There are no outs and we don't keep score. It's just a fun game to hopefully teach them a few fundamentals and some sportsmanship. The boys do pretty good to listen and stay in batting order or in their positions on the field. But other times they get a little restless and sit down and throw grass. J does his best to keep them up, involved and throwing that ball to first base. He is a fantastic coach and more than one parent has told him so. I just get all warm and fuzzy to see my boys out there on the field together.

And let's not forget team treats!! That's the best part for 4 and 5 yr old boys!!

Thanks so much to all of you who have stopped by to watch a game. I know how busy we all are so thanks, you rock!

  1. It was so much fun watching C play ball! And I really do think J did a great job coaching too, he should keep that up. Hopefully I can make it out there again before the 'season' is over!
